Bought a 2008 W PROOF GOLD $50 American Eagle 1 Oz Coin for

$1440. Is that a fair price?

All GAE proofs have W (west point) mint marks.

Since 2009 GAE proofs are not being made it's hard to say exactly what the price should be, but the UHR costs $1,439.00 right now so I say you did good.

I am assuming you got the blue box and certificate of authenticity....Yes?
